Harmony Week 2026 was a beautiful celebration of the many cultures, stories and traditions that make our Hills Montessori community so special. Across the week, children, educators and families came together to share food, music, language and experiences that highlighted the values of respect, belonging and connection. From multicultural morning teas to family‑led cooking, storytelling and joyful parades, our classrooms were filled with moments that reminded us how powerful it is when we learn from one another and celebrate what makes each of us unique.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate every mother’s journey — across cultures, languages, and life stages. Matrescence reminds us that motherhood is not a role, but a transformation. And every transformation deserves to be seen.

We are honoured to be named a finalist in the Early Childhood Centre category for the fourth year in a row. Thank you to our wonderful community for your ongoing support.

Our garden offered a wonderful surprise this week as the children helped harvest a banana flower, exploring its sticky pistils, rich colours and hidden tiny blooms in a hands‑on learning experience.

Tiny tails, big excitement! Our new tadpoles have become instant classroom favourites as the children watch them swim, grow and begin their magical transformation.

Bears, bubbles, balloons and big smiles—our Teddy Bears Picnic was a wonderful start to the year. Families from across our preschool gathered for a relaxed morning of fun and connection.

Through stories, traditions and hands‑on experiences, the children learned about the meaning and beauty of Chinese New Year, creating a celebration filled with connection and wonder.

Our new children took their first walk through the outdoor classroom this week, discovering worms, chickens, fruit trees and all the living things that make our garden so special. Their curiosity and wonder made this orientation a beautiful start to their Montessori journey.

Our peach tree delivered a sweet surprise this week as the children excitedly uncovered the fruit they had carefully protected last term. Their joy, curiosity, and thoughtful conversations made this harvest one to remember.

Across four afternoons, our Kookaburras, Brolgas, Lorikeets and Cockatiels took to the stage to share the songs, poems and moments that shaped their year. Discover the heartwarming celebrations that brought our community together.
